Flower Box

(another flower, but just a tad abstract)

“Planted” 16 x 20

Another flower, but this time it grows only in the imagination. I hadn’t been using pink and orange very much and decided to that I would do a painting that included them. I also wanted to play with the geometry of the flower and wanted to contrast the rigidness of the flower itself against the flow of the stem. I also wanted it to feel bright and cheerful. My niece who took the phot that inspired the gigantic flower in my last post (1.9.24) now owns this painting, but I did get a good scan made of it so I can make prints.
